Embrace the Final Quarter: What’s Most Important for You?
As we enter the final quarter of the year, the “silly season” begins. Work deadlines, social events, and family gatherings start piling up. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, trying to juggle everything without enough time or energy.
But there’s one important question we often forget to ask:
What do I really need right now?
When was the last time you paused and asked yourself that? As the year comes to an end, it’s tempting to run on autopilot. We get caught up in what’s expected of us instead of considering what truly serves our wellbeing.
Reflect Before You Rush
What if this year, instead of rushing through the season, you slowed down? By tuning in and making thoughtful choices, you can preserve your energy. You don’t need to cancel every plan, but you can manage your time more mindfully.
To guide you, I’ve put together a set of journal prompts. These prompts help you reflect on your deepest needs and help you approach the rest of the year feeling calm and centred.
Start with This Question:
“At a really deep level, what do I need?”
This simple question can reveal a lot about what you need in mind, body, and spirit as the year wraps up.
